We Believe

The Bible

We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God. We believe the whole Bible in the original is without error and is the final authority of all matters of faith and practice. (2 Peter 1:20, 21)

The Godhead

We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God.

(Matthew 3:16,17)

We believe Angels are created beings who originally were created by God and for God. Satan rebelled however, leading one third of them in rebellion. These fallen angels or demon spirits are active in opposing the purposes of God. The two thirds are now ministering spirits sent by God to minister to the heirs of salvation. (Hebrews 1:14, Jude 6, Revelation 5:11,12)

We believe Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God. He fell through sin and as a consequence incurred both spiritual and physical death. (Romans 3:23, 5:12)

We believe that God wants all mankind to be saved. God provides the only way for forgiveness of sins through the death of his Son, Jesus Christ. All who call on Jesus Christ shall be saved. Those who repent and believe in Christ are born of the Spirit and receive eternal life.

(John 3:16,17; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 John 5:13)

Water Baptism

We believe upon conversion the new covert must be baptized in water following the example set forth by Jesus Christ. By doing so, we make a public declaration of death to the old man and resurrection and life to the new man. (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that God wants to baptize all believers with the Holy Spirit. This is an experience subsequent to salvation where the believer is endued with power from on high to witness and live a Godly victorious Christian life. We believe the initial evidence of this baptism is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:39)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are supernatural gifts imparted by the Spirit of God to individual believers to do the works of the ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

The Local Church

The local Church is a body of believers in Jesus Christ who corporately join together regularly for worship and prayer. The local Church provides a loving atmosphere where the Bible is taught and preached with new converts being discipled. (Acts 2:42; Ephesians 3:10)

The Present State of the Dead

We believe at death the souls of the believers pass immediately into the presence of Jesus Christ in Heaven and the souls of the unforgiven sinners depart to Hell awaiting the resurrection of the dead for the final judgement. (Luke 16:22,23; 2 Corinthians 5:6-8)

The Rapture of the Church

We believe God has not appointed us to suffer wrath but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus taught us to pray that we might be worthy to escape all the things that are going to come onto the face of the earth. We believe the tribulation time will be a time of the judgement of God upon the unrepentant humanity and that God has given them time to repent but should they refuse the claims of Christ they will face the wrath of God. (Luke 21:36; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelations 3:10)

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Bible teaches in many places that Jesus Christ will come again and rule and reign on earth with all authority for 1000 years at the conclusion of the tribulation period. (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; Revelations 20:4-6)

The Final Judgement

We believe there will be a final judgement in which the unbelieving dead will be raised up and judged at the great with throne judgement and cast alive into the lake of fire to suffer eternal torment forever. (Revelations 20:11-15)
