Here at the Clubhouse, the theme is Emoji Prayers. Learning how easy it is to pray to God when we have big feelings is super important.

When life is going well, we need to thank God and continue to rely on Him. When life gets hard, we need to thank God for the challenge and rely on Him.

Join us after worship to have fun, play games, learn about our emotions and how to bring them to God.

Read this Scripture & answer the questions together.

Please reach out with any questions you may have.

  • Main Scripture - Matthew 5:1-11, The Beatitudes

Pray for those who are sad, that God will comfort them. No one likes it when they don’t feel happy, but Jesus said that the sad are blessed because they will be comforted by God.

Here are some great discussion starters:
    - What did Jesus say about people who mourn?
    - How can God grow our faith when we are sad?
    - What should we do for friends who are feeling sad?

    Parent Reflection:

Jesus said those who mourn will be comforted. He wants us to pray when we are sad, and to pray for those who are going through sad times. Ask God to strengthen someone you know who is going through a tough time. Ask him to comfort them and give them renewed faith.

  • Main scripture - Genesis 45:1-15

Thank God for your family and those who love you. Joseph thanked God for the chance
to be reunited with his family, whom he loved.

Here are some great discussion starters:
    - What did Joseph’s brothers do to him?
    - Why was Joseph still thankful for his family?
    - Why do we need to tell God we are thankful for our families?

    Parent Reflection:
Take some time this week to thank God for your family - for the one you grew up in, and
the one you have now. Share some of the reasons you are thankful

  • Main Scripture - Acts 12:1-17, Peter’s Miraculous Escape

Pray for those who are hurt or suffering, that God will help them. When Peter was

suffering in a prison cell, his friends prayed, and God answered their prayer.

Here are some great discussion starters:

    - Why were the believers praying for Peter when he was in jail?

    - How did God help Peter?

    - Why do we need to pray for people who are hurting?

    Parent Reflection:

God is the great healer. He wants us to pray for those who are hurting. That goes for

broken hearts as well as broken bones. Make it a point to share some prayer requests

with your kids, and pray together for the people you know who are hurting.
